Jackie moves for life

I plan on moving in nature to keep me strong for as long as I’m able.
— Jackie, 53

Jackie moves for life. From her earliest memories of running to school and playing in the yard, she has always felt most at home outdoors. Nature has been her constant companion, offering both peace of mind and a strong body — the foundation of her lifelong active lifestyle.

Playing team sports throughout primary and high school taught Jackie lessons that would shape her career and character. Leadership, cooperation, confidence, and resilience became part of who she is — qualities that later defined her as both an athlete and an active lifestyle coach.

As an adult, Jackie found new ways to channel her energy through triathlon, running, and mountain biking, using them to relieve the stresses of corporate life. What began as a way to unwind evolved into years of competitive endurance training, culminating in completing an Ironman.

Eventually, Jackie decided to make a major life change — a corporate-to-coaching transition that aligned her passion with her purpose. “I transitioned from corporate life to coaching because I wanted to help people move better and feel stronger.”

Today, Jackie works as a full-time fitness coach, helping others improve their physical and mental strength through outdoor fitness coaching and nature-based training. Her approach blends performance and presence — encouraging clients to find balance, gratitude, and curiosity in movement. “As I've grown a bit older and not so fast on my feet, hiking, canoeing, and backpacking have scratched that itch of my need to move, surrounded by stunning environments. I plan on moving in nature to keep me strong for as long as I'm able.

For Jackie, movement isn’t about competition — it’s about connection.

“Hiking gives me peace of mind and a vigorous heart to appreciate the beauty of nature.”

Her story is a reminder that staying active is about more than training — it’s about choosing to stay strong outdoors, explore, and live with intention.
