Andrew and Maria move to keep their minds sharp

All our activities are connected to fun, interaction and physical achievement.
— Andrew, 71 and Maria, 68

Andrew and Maria aren’t training for anything. That gives them unlimited freedom. As retirees, they can choose how to be active every day. I often see them in our neighbourhood, getting ready to go walking, cycling, kayaking, or hiking together. They even wear matching jackets!

“We set physical activities according to our mental and physical capabilities at the time,” Andrew says. “We don’t have a specific goal to reach some predefined level of physical form. We just want to have good health. Not having any health issues indicates that an active lifestyle works!”

Andrew and Maria move to keep their bodies fit and their minds sharp. They want to keep up with their grandchildren, and create memories of good times spent together.

“We feel a better physical and mental condition and a sense of accomplishment after a long bike ride, or skiing in blowing snow. There’s a feeling of achievement at the end of every vigorous activity.”
