Yvette moves for life

MY motto has always been “My health is MY wealth” and this remains the major inspiration for continuing to keep active!
— Yvette, 76

‘My health is my wealth’ has always been Yvette’s motto. From tennis and racquetball to hiking trails and strength classes, she has never stopped finding ways to stay active. Seven years ago, she discovered Pickleball. Since then, it has become her passion -alongside Tai Chi and walking—keeping her grounded, challenged, and connected.

Yvette moves for life.

“Individuals well into their eighties continue to enjoy a very competitive game of Pickleball,” Yvette says. "Recently, I’ve been teaching my grandsons the game. Pickleball provides an opportunity for bonding with them and modeling the value of physical activity.”

Even when gyms shut down during COVID, Yvette’s commitment didn’t waver. She formed a small outdoor bubble, shoveled snow off the courts, and played pickleball in -20°C weather.

Yvette is dedicated to keeping active. It challenges her competitive spirit, keeps her socially engaged, and helps her manage stress. It has also been crucial to keeping her in good health without medications.

Yvette moves for health, joy, and the wealth of life itself.
